Objectives:
- Chinese culture has a long history and rich traditions. To strengthen children’s and parents’ understanding of Chinese culture, our school organised a Parent–Child Activity for Chinese Culture Day on the eve of the Dragon Boat Festival.
On the day, teachers and children dressed beautifully in Hanfu and traditional Chinese costumes, filling the school with a vibrant cultural atmosphere. Six activity booths were prepared, including flour figurines, papermaking, sachet making, archery, cuju (ancient Chinese football), and a Hanfu photo corner. There was also a Chinese variety performance by Master Chan, the three-time champion of the Hong Kong Juggling Competition. His performance was full of excitement, featuring diabolo, brick stacking, plate spinning, and interactive sessions with the audience.
The day was filled with joy and laughter, with engaging games and spectacular performances that everyone enjoyed.
The Chinese Culture Day Parent–Child Activity was held on Wednesday, 21 June 2023 in our school. Through this celebration, children and parents not only participated and experienced Chinese traditions together but also developed a stronger interest in Chinese customs and culture.
