Event Objective:
To introduce children and parents to traditional Chinese arts and culture through a variety of booth activities and a face-changing performance.
Event Overview:
• Play Zone: Booths were attractively decorated with props and offered small gifts for participating children. The Chinese yo-yo (diabolo) activity was suitable for children of various ages, and the staff were patient and engaging. In contrast, shuttlecock kicking was more challenging for the younger children to master.
• Snack Zone: The variety of snacks could be improved. There were not enough pancake wrappers for the traditional sugar candy rolls, and the malt candy portions were relatively small. The appearance of the candied hawthorn skewers was also less visually appealing.
• Art Zone: With the support of their parents, children were able to complete their craftwork successfully. The staff helping with the dough figurines showcased beautiful and skillful creations.
• Face-Changing Performance: Master Kwong and the emcee arrived early, allowing ample time for preparation. The master was humorous and engaging, and the emcee spoke clearly and effectively, contributing to the success of the performance.
