Objectives
● To introduce parents and young children to the unique culture and intangible cultural heritage of Cheung Chau, fostering a deeper appreciation of and respect for traditional Chinese cultural activities.
To enhance parents’ and children’s understanding of local traditional culture, the school organised a parent–child activity entitled “Chinese Cultural Tour – Cheung Chau Trip.”
Hands-on experience: Accompanied by their parents, the children travelled by ferry to Cheung Chau, where they created traditional Ping On (peace) buns by hand and took part in stamping activities. They also joined a 3D relief sculpture workshop.
Enjoying the moment: Parents and children shared a special seafood group lunch while immersing themselves in the unique cultural atmosphere of Cheung Chau.
This one-day tour enabled children and parents to participate together, gain hands-on experience and create warm and memorable family moments.
